Use SysInfo, SysSpeed and look for the ROM files, or something like:
> version carddisk.device full

> version card.resource full

Hmm, or even:
> info cc0:
Mounted disks:
Unit Size Used Free Full Errs Status Name
CC0: No disk present
Volumes available:

Question is though, what does he have in the PCMCIA slot? I can't remember
exactly what error PrepCard gives, but it might display something like what
you described if the slot is empty.
